Jamaal Brodie
Chief of Staff
As chief of staff to the State Chief Information Officer and Secretary of the N.C. Department of Information Technology, Jamaal Brodie provides strategic insight, helping shape priorities, advising leadership and ensuring alignment with the department’s mission. He also oversees operations to promote effective coordination and execution of key initiatives.
With more than 20 years of public service in North Carolina, Brodie brings a comprehensive understanding of state government operations. Since joining NCDIT in 2020, he has supported the department’s executive leadership in a variety of positions, collaborating closely with agency heads and the Governor’s Office.
Brodie has also served in state agencies including the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles, N.C. Department of Commerce, N.C. Administrative Office of Courts, N.C. Turnpike Authority and N.C. Department of Justice’s Private Protective Services.
He holds an Associate of Arts in business administration from Guilford Technical Community College.
