Using Text Message to Help Change Your NCID Password
You now have a cellphone number associated with your NCID account and can use text messaging, or SMS, to help change your NCID password. If you have any problems with this process, please contact your NCID administrator.
- Go to https://ncidsspr.nc.gov/sspr/public/forgottenpassword.
- When prompted, as shown in the image below, enter your NCID username. Then click Search.
- Choose SMS Text/Email.
- Choose SMS.
- Check the cellphone number associated with your NCID account for a six-digit security code. Then enter the code in the prompt that appears on the NCID password reset page, as shown below.
- Click Check Code.
- You will then be prompted to change your password.
