Amanda Richardson
Chief Information Officer, N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources

Amanda Richardson has served as the N.C. Department of Information Technology’s chief information officer for the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources since January 2021.
Richardson is a results-driven financial and technology management executive with more than 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors. She has extensive education and experience in business solutions, payment card industry compliance, finance and IT.
Previously, Richardson served as DNCR’s business solutions director for five years, and she has been heavily involved in the state’s payment-card data security compliance efforts over the past 10 years.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from North Carolina State University and is a Certified Governmental Chief Information Officer.
