The state chief information officer, who leads the N.C. Department of Information Technology, develops the Statewide IT Strategic Plan.

NCDIT submits the plan to the N.C. General Assembly along with the governor's budget. This process is required by state statute.

As a state agency, NCDIT also develops its own strategic IT plan.


Foster a connected North Carolina to improve opportunities and outcomes for all North Carolinians
