Dylan Frick

Dylan Frick serves as deputy secretary for external affairs at the N.C. Department of Information Technology.

He oversees the department’s communications office and leads external engagement with the General Assembly, state and local government partners, and the business community. His role includes elevating public and customer understanding of NCDIT’s work in IT procurement, operations, cybersecurity, data analytics, 911 technology and more.  

He first joined NCDIT in March 2024 as legislative affairs director.

Frick’s experience spans the public and private sectors, advocating for client interests and building partnerships across all levels of government. He previously served as assistant vice president on McGuireWoods Consulting’s North Carolina government relations team and held positions in the N.C. General Assembly and on congressional and mayoral campaigns.

He holds a master’s degree in public policy and political management from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
