Michael Cullen

Legislative Affairs Manager

As legislative affairs manager for the N.C. Department of Information Technology, Michael Cullen engages with the N.C. General Assembly in policymaking to help shape the future of North Carolina’s digital landscape.

Before joining NCDIT in May 2026, he worked for nearly four years at the General Assembly, including as an investigative analyst for the Joint Legislative Commission on Governmental Operations and as a legislative liaison for the N.C. Department of Public Safety.

Cullen holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from University of North Carolina Wilmington.
