User Groups & Communities of Practice

The N.C. Department of Information Technology offers user groups and Communities of Practice focused on commonly needed IT functions and skill areas. 

These groups are open to staff from state and local agencies as well as educational institutions. 

What is a Community of Practice?

A Community of Practice is a group of people who are part of a shared discipline and have a common goal of interacting and learning from one another to improve in the focused practice

The main purpose of a user group is to increase proficiency in using a certain service or product.
