The SGUC meets to collaborate, share data, share knowledge, and consider issues, strategies, and practices that promote effective, efficient workflows and prevent duplication of effort. SGUC meetings are open to all state employees who work with or have an interest in learning more about GIS technology. The committee makes recommendations to the Geographic Information Coordinating Council on behalf of state government GIS users.
