Periodic Review of Existing Rules
N.C. G.S. 150B-21.3A requires that state agencies review existing rules in the N.C. Administrative Code every 10 years on a schedule established by the Rules Review Commission.
As part of the rules review process, the N.C. Department of Information Technology is required to evaluate each existing rule and make an initial determination as to whether the rule is necessary or unnecessary and invite the public to comment on the rules and initial determination.
