NCDIT's AI Enterprise Literacy Pilot is designed to help our workforce build practical skills in using secure, responsible, and modern AI tools.

A total of 10,000 licenses will be offered. We intend to allocate licenses for up to 10% of each eligible agency’s workforce.
You will be able to request a license once you receive approval from your manager and agency leadership. Expect more information soon on how to request a license.
NCDIT will host weekly training sessions with opportunities to experiment with prompts, explore capabilities, and discover how Gemini can support day to day work.
Access will be rolled out in phases to help NCDIT and agency IT teams monitor adoption and ensure a user-friendly experience for all users.

This is an optional program and there is no cost to participate. The only requirements for participants are to:

Have approval from your manager and agency leadership
Complete the North Carolina Responsible AI for Public Professionals (InnovateUS) training in the NC Learning Center so that everyone enters the pilot with a common foundation in responsible, secure, and practical AI use.
Provide feedback to help shape North Carolina’s long‑term AI strategy, inform enterprise requirements for value and security.
