By requesting a Gemini pilot license, user acknowledges that:

  • User received permission to receive a Gemini pilot license from their agency CIO or designee, and any other agency-specific required approvals.
     
  • User has completed the North Carolina Responsible AI for Public Professionals (InnovateUS) training course.
     
  • Gemini can access information stored in the user’s Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint, as long as the users’ agency is on the NCDIT tenant.1
     
  • User will not enter confidential or restricted data into the Gemini platform.
     
  • User will review and independently fact-check any output produced by Gemini before using outputs for official business.2 
     
  • Data will not be used to train AI models.
     
  • User has reviewed the Google Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy and will not use Gemini in any way that violates this policy. Specifically, user will not use Gemini to:
     
    • Engage in activities that violate any applicable laws.
    • Compromise the security of others.
    • Engage in activities that may harass, bully, intimidate, threaten, or abuse others.
    • Engage in sexually explicit, violent, hateful, or harmful activities.
    • Engage in misinformation, misrepresentation, or misleading activities.
       
  • Violations of any of these terms may result in revocation of the user’s license.

    Users in agencies outside of the NCDIT tenant will not be able to connect Gemini to their Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.

    User will not use an output from Gemini to make a decision regarding benefits determinations for residents.
