The N.C. Department of Information Technology’s Statewide IT Procurement Office has launched a new dashboard that tracks project progress and metrics on the overall number and value of IT procurements. The dashboard provides transparency that will help NCDIT and state, local and educational partners make the procurement process more efficient and cost effective.

The Statewide IT Procurement Dashboard offers reporting metrics for IT products and services that are purchased, licensed or leased by state agencies and educational entities within North Carolina. Using these metrics, the procurement office can track and measure its activities to effectively manage and control operations and provide the highest level of customer service.

The initial include the number of active procurements, completed and canceled procurements, the value of awarded IT procurements and cumulative savings. The dashboard also tracks the average length of the approval/review cycle for agencies and how long tasks have been open with agencies and other offices involved in the procurement process. The Statewide IT Procurement Office is working on further enhancements to the dashboard that will give additional transparency to the status and progress of each procurement.
