The N.C. Department of Information Technology is engaging in conversations with vendors in the state IT community to identify ways to build more effective partnerships and bring the best value and pricing for North Carolina state and local governments and educational entities.

On May 2, NCDIT procurement leaders met with vendor members of the NC Tech Association to discuss their involvement in providing North Carolina state government with cutting-edge technology and solutions. The vendors provided insights into challenges they face and offered creative ideas to improve the procurement and negotiating process.

NCDIT is seeking to ensure that vendors understand their roles and responsibilities in the procurement process and the terms and conditions required by the state for legislative and privacy considerations, among others. The department will continue ongoing conversations with vendors so that we can work together more effectively to provide North Carolina government entities with access to cutting-edge vendors and technology.
