Kristin Walker

Kristin Walker is state budget director with the N.C. Office of State Budget and Management.

Prior to her appointment, she served as chief deputy budget director, a role she held since 2017.

Before joining the state budget office, Walker was a fiscal analyst for the N.C. General Assembly for more than 10 years. She has also worked for the National Science Foundation managing multimillion-dollar grant programs in the social and behavioral sciences. 

Walker has her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Public Policy from the Sanford School at Duke University.
