  • Make the state’s IT procurement processes more efficient and easier to navigate while better leveraging the state's buying power.
  • Ensure consistent enterprise oversight with clear roles, accountability, and governance bodies.
  • Modernize and rationalize NCDIT's service offerings to improve value, reduce cost, and meet agency needs.
  • Develop a comprehensive and adaptive body of standardized, efficient, and transparent policies and processes for the agency.

Harness and advance emerging technology to best serve North Carolina now and in the future.

  • Establish an enterprise IT lifecycle model (Architecture > Engineering > Operations) to support sustainable modernization of services.
  • Establish an AI and innovation network to foster safe, effective adoption of automation and emerging technologies in state and local government.
  • Build a future-ready workforce through digital skills development, talent pipelines, and innovation enablement.

Empower North Carolinians to access, participate, and thrive in a digital society

  • Complete statewide deployment of broadband, utilizing available grant and funding opportunities.
