Upgraded Intelligence Platform Supports Local, State and Federal Law Enforcement

The IntelShare Intelligence and Investigation Management system provides a single integrated platform for the N.C. Information Sharing and Analysis Center.

The N.C. Government Data Analytics Center in August released an upgraded intelligence platform used in local, state and federal law enforcement agencies’ daily operations to fight terrorism and criminal activity.

The IntelShare Intelligence and Investigation Management system provides a single integrated platform for the N.C. Information Sharing and Analysis Center, operated by NCDIT’s Enterprise Security and Risk Management Office Information Protection team. The center develops actionable intelligence on immediate and emerging threats and shares it with law enforcement partners.

Intelligence analysts and investigators use the platform for crime reporting and case management. Users can also search records related to people, vehicles, incident locations, communications and more to find incident reports and view information relating to criminal investigations.

With the platform release, the Government Data Analytics Center has completed the first two phases of the project, which replaces Memex, a criminal investigative case management system launched in 2015 with technical partner SAS. The new system enhances the user experience and supports current and future business needs. More project phases will be rolled out over the coming year.
