Our Mission

Empower state government with the means to provide digital services and information to all North Carolinians using Digital Commons, a standardized digital content presentation platform with an emphasis on accessibility and usability.

Since 2015, Digital Solutions team has successfully consolidated 70+ state websites into one platform with a single codebase on a Drupal content management system. The Digital Commons platform is a customized version of Drupal that's been optimized for North Carolina government. It enables agencies to focus on their website content through an accessible, secure, user and mobile-friendly interface that does not require web coding skills.
