The Management and Operations Committee of the GICC is composed of GICC committee chairs and standing members who meet quarterly in between council meetings to review committee work, address questions, and plan meeting content for the following quarter.

The FIC Executive Committee meets to collaborate, share data, share knowledge, and consider issues, strategies, and practices. The committee may make recommendations to the Geographic Information Coordinating Council on behalf of federal government GIS users.
