The event, themed The Digital Government Transition - Mindset, Culture, and More attracted over 130 state employees from more than 40 state agencies and units. Eric Boyette and Jim Whitehurst had a "fireside" style conversation on the crucial elements of digital transformation. The two leaders addressed key organizational challenges and opportunities focusing on culture, leadership, context setting, innovation, and much more.
Discovery Sprints Workshop
As a former member of the United States Digital Service, Emily Wright Moore played a lead role in designing vets.gov. She was also a Code for America Fellow in Austin, Texas. Lauren Lockwood is the former Chief Digital Officer for the City of Boston and co-founder of Bloom. Emily and Lauren presentation about Discovery Sprints: a time-bound activity to investigate business challenges through information gathering, rapid prototyping, and testing ideas. A hands-on activity took place as a part of our breakout sessions that followed the presentation.
