Comprehensive Benefits

The N.C. Department of Information Technology offers team members comprehensive benefits that they can customize to their unique needs. In addition to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits, we offer a variety of optional benefits:

Team members can choose two options to for the State Health Plan: the 70/30 Plan and the 80/20 Plan. Both plans provide enrollees with freedom of choice for their providers, low out-of-pocket costs and financial incentives for taking steps to improve health. For example, if employees complete a tobacco attestation, they receive a $60 monthly credit on their premiums.

NCDIT team members are also enrolled in the Teachers’ and State Employees’ Retirement Plan. TSERS was named one of the best funded retirement plans in the United States. Team members can contribute to optional supplemental retirement plans such as the NC 401(k) Plan and the NC 457 Plan.
