Jeff Tarte
Appointed to the Information Technology Strategy Board by N.C. Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger, the Hon. Jeff Tarte is a career management consultant who helps health care, education and information technology organizations develop solutions to complex challenges. His clients include executives, boards of directors and business leaders in North Carolina, almost all U.S. states and five other countries.
Tarte is chief executive officer of Cribb Philbeck, a management consulting firm. Previously, he was chairman and co-founder of Applied Revenue Analytics and health care IT partner with Ernst & Young. He has also been chief information officer for the New England Medical Center-Tufts University and Johns Hopkins Health System.
Tarte served three terms each as a North Carolina state senator and as mayor of Cornelius. He was named a top 100 U.S. IT executive by CIO magazine and North Carolina 2018 Public Leader of the Year by the North Carolina Technology Association.
Tarte holds a degree in economics from the University of Illinois. He has completed executive education programs in senior leadership in state and local government, finance and compliance from Harvard University, Duke University and the University of Pennsylvania.
