'App Has Been Blocked' User Message

Are you getting a message that an application you are trying to install from the internet has been blocked by your system administrator?

Need a ‘Blocked’ Application?

Please use an alternative application or check the Self-Service Portal on your Windows device to see if there is an approved version of the tool you are seeking.

Accessing the Self-Service Portal

  1. Click on the Start menu.
  2. Type Self-Service Portal in the search bar.
  3. Click on the Self-Service Portal icon.
  4. From there, you can install or request approved applications.

Can’t Find the Software You Need?

If the application is not in the Self-Service Portal, submit a ticket using the NCDIT Service Portal or call the NCDIT Service Desk at 919-754-6000 or 800-722-3946.
