With more than 20 years of experience in procurement, contract management, vendor relations, and fiscal oversight, Aleks Njeogovan has built a career dedicated to helping organizations make informed purchasing decisions while maintaining compliance, efficiency, and long-term value.
He began his procurement career in the telecommunications sector with MCI, managing global purchasing and implementation projects involving network hardware, software, and professional services.
Njeogovan later joined the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, where he led procurement operations, negotiated contracts, oversaw supplier relationships, managed capital projects, and guided procure-to-pay processes.
This broad experience strengthened Njeogovan’s capabilities in strategic sourcing, vendor management, financial stewardship, and process improvement.
As an IT contract specialist with the Statewide IT Procurement Office, Njeogovan works closely with agency procurement teams, legal staff, vendors, and other stakeholders. He designs sourcing strategies, manages solicitations, negotiates contracts, and ensures compliance with state procurement policies and regulations.
Whether drafting RFPs, reviewing vendor proposals, navigating licensing terms, or advising on contract management best practices, Njeogovan is a trusted partner to agencies, helping them achieve effective procurement outcomes.
Outside of work, Njeogovan enjoys traveling, home improvement projects, exercising, and keeping up with his three young children. He also volunteers in his community and serves on his church board.
