NCDIT’s legal and business analysis teams also participate in the review process to ensure that a thorough analysis and succinct summary of the terms and conditions are conducted before final decisions are made.
To help expedite this process NCDIT has recently developed a generative AI app to:
- Review and summarize the key clauses of the vendor agreement.
- Review vendor agreements to identify clauses within the agreement that are Unacceptable/No Force or Effect, as well as identify acceptable clauses that require modification.
- Identify all hyperlinks in the contract and present it to the user for better insights.
This generative AI report identifies unacceptable clauses that exist in the agreement submitted by the vendor.
The new process improvement will help:
- Deliver IT infrastructure solutions to the people of North Carolina sooner by reducing cycle time and closing IT contracts quicker.
- Save the public and state money by reducing potential breaches and legal risk in IT contracts while keeping taxpayers’ identities safe.
- Improve employee satisfaction by addressing the lengthy vendor agreement review process.
