Submitting Security Exception Requests

With the new IT procurement process, state agencies use the Ariba Sourcing Tool to submit standards and security exception requests to the N.C. Department of Information Technology for approval. Standards and security exception requests can be associated and not associated with an active IT procurement.

With the new IT procurement process, state agencies use the Ariba Sourcing Tool to submit standards and security exception requests to the N.C. Department of Information Technology for approval.

There are two types of standards and security exception requests:

  • Those associated with an active IT procurement
  • Those not associated with an active IT procurement

For requests associated with an active IT procurement, submit the completed standards or security exception request forms and supporting documentation through the Ariba Sourcing Tool.

For requests not associated with an active IT procurement, users have two options for submitting: the Ariba Sourcing Tool or email.
