N.C. 911 Board Members

The chair of the N.C. 911 Board is the chief information officer of the N.C. Department of Information Technology or the CIO's designee. The board meets at the call of the chair and has a quorum with nine members.

The N.C. 911 Board has 17 members. Eight members represent vendors, including three commercial mobile radio service providers, four local exchange carriers and one VoIP provider. Eight members are local officials representing:

  • League of Municipalities
  • Association of County Commissioners
  • Sheriff and police chiefs
  • Association of Public Safety Communication Officials
  • National Emergency Number Association
  • North Carolina Firemen's Association
  • North Carolina Association of Rescue and Emergency Medical Services
