Project Management Service Description The N.C. Department of Information Technology Project Management Office enables excellence in project management. Our experienced PMP-certified project managers handle individual customer projects. They bring a wide variety of experience managing IT projects and have all delivered many successful implementations for North Carolina state government. PMO strives to provide quality project management services to guide and enable customer success. Service Support Our services can be arranged on a short- or long-term basis via a request for project management services. A memorandum of understanding will be created to ensure that the project needs are understood and agreed upon. The PMO project manager is responsible for managing and driving all project activities related to the project. The PMO project manager coordinates all activities with appropriate organizational units and stakeholders. That includes resource coordination, progress and status reporting, budget development and monitoring, roles and responsibilities, requirements and issue and risk tracking. Benefits Project management service customers can expect these benefits: PMP-certified project managers with strong knowledge of the Enterprise Project Management Office's requirements and Touchdown Effective and results-driven IT project management by skilled, disciplined leaders. Projects are managed using well-defined methods, techniques and processes that increase the ability to achieve the expected results by regularly monitoring project performance while measuring progress by technical, financial and schedule results. Provision of project management services to state agencies on demand with no procurement, supplemental staffing or other technical services RFP needed. All that is required is a request submission, signed MOU and unique bill code to be charged for the services provided. Cost avoidance for customers who do not have to maintain and provide their own in-house IT project management resources Billing rates that are competitive and/or below commercially available alternatives and billing via a monthly DIT invoice to the agency. Customers are only billed for the time the project manager works on their specific project.
