Agile Foundations The Agile Foundations Training class introduces agile practices at the foundational level and is intended to solidify the core principles of agile and its different frameworks, including Scrum. The sessions have been very well received and are proving to be an excellent venue to share practices and learn from others across the state enterprise. Agile project delivery is radically different from traditional waterfall methodologies, so it requires understanding, acceptance and support for a successful transformation. The Agile Foundations Training class conducted, by the N.C. Department of Information Technology Business Analysis team, covers basic agile concepts and activities and provides suggestions on how to approach an agile development. The Agile Foundations class is open to all state and local employees. Attendees in practically every area of business and IT can learn some essential fundamentals through this class. Classes are provided in two formats (a lunch-and-learn series and a two-day training course). This training includes presentation content and agile templates. Upon completion of this class, you will: Understand the fundamentals of agile, scrum and kanban Define the key roles and responsibilities of agile team members Discover how to use agile artifacts to understand and maximize business value Learn how to present agile metrics to track the work in progress Understand how to craft user stories To register for the NCDIT Agile Foundations Training classes, please go through the N.C.
