Middleware Hosting

Multitier architecture is a highly recommended client-server architecture that physically separates the presentation, application processing and data management functions. This segregation gives developers the flexibility to work in agile manner and ensures reusability and reduced distribution. It also offers an improved security model that isolates the client application tier from direct access to the backend database.

The Middleware Hosting team provides services beyond those provided by operating system platform services to enable various components of systems to communicate and manage data. The Middleware Hosting team supports multiple middleware products that enable interoperability between applications running on different operating systems, so applications can exchange data in a standard and secure way.

Service Description

Applying the foundational ITIL methodology, Middleware Hosting provides day-day administrative support, pathing and ad-hoc tasks for the following services listed. Proactive and reactive middleware support gives agencies' preventive care for applications and the availability to respond to critical needs with integrity.

Middleware Hosting offers these service features:

JavaEE Container – a flexible secure Java server runtime environment for enterprise applications and webservers based on Apache HTTP servers. Used as a frontend for load balancing and reverse proxy for WebSphere application servers

MQ Message Solutions – a convenient, flexible, secure message solutions that rapidly transports messages between applications, systems and services. Available for both distributed and mainframe environments.

Secure File Transfer – secure and reliable file-sharing solution for agencies to transfer data with higher levels of file transfer protection through SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS and managed file transfer.

Enterprise-wide Application Integration Solutions – enables business information to flow between disparate applications across multiple hardware and software platforms. Supported products are IBM IIB, IBM WSRR & Boomi Integration Platform as a Service.

Enterprise Content Management – enables an organization to take full advantage of the customer information and company knowledge embedded in its content.
