Restructuring IT in North Carolina

One IT = Our IT

The new Department of Information Technology succeeds the Office of Information Technology Services and represents a priority for Governor McCrory’s administration to use information technology to make government more efficient, effective and user-friendly for the citizens we serve. The Department will, over time, become responsible for the day-to-day management of the participating agencies’ information technology needs.

We have begun to assemble cross-agency transition teams to align plans to the budget bill, and we will keep you informed throughout this transition. As we move forward, we want to thank you in advance for your cooperation and support. Our expectation is that each of you will continue doing the work you do today to provide outstanding service to our customers and the North Carolinians we serve. We look forward to working with you during this exciting time as North Carolina becomes a national leader in information technology management.
