Leigh Jackson Legislative Affairs Director Leigh Jackson serves as legislative affairs director for the N.C. Department of Information Technology. She represents the interests and needs of the department to members of the N.C. General Assembly and U.S. Congress and is integral to the department's culture work initiative. Since joining NCDIT in 2017, Jackson has performed in a number of roles, most recently as legislative liaison and change management coordinator. She has also provided budgetary and legislative support to the N.C. Health Information Exchange Authority. Previously, she handled constituent relations for the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles with customers and federal and state legislators. In addition, she brings experience in program and operations management from the private sector. Jackson holds a Master of Business Administration from East Carolina University. She also graduated from North Carolina State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in public and interpersonal communications.
